You’ve heard it before…buy L’Oreal, “…because you’re worth it.” I admit that every time I hear that line, I roll my eyes and wonder who buys into that. As a mom of busy 8-year-old twins, I was reminded recently that women don’t take care of themselves. They’re too busy taking care of kids, working, cleaning the house, and doing all the shopping for the family, not to mention being a “Mom Taxi”. We don’t take care of ourselves like we did when we were teens or young adults. And, thankfully, that might be a good thing.
A friend of mine mentioned today that she considers skin care an “investment.” That rang so true for me and made me realize that I’ve been trying brand after brand from department stores, drug stores and grocery stores and still not getting the skin I wanted. I have a “graveyard” of partially used skin care items.
Now, I make time for myself with Sunday Spa nights and my regular nighttime skin care ritual. It feels good, smells good, and I am seeing the difference every day.
Here’s an article I found interesting from www.Oprah.com. It’s all about things you shouldn’t be doing with your beauty routine.
